SKILLMAN, N.J.--- Senior Naoki Takeda has been ranked No. 52 in the nation in the first ITA singles rankings of 2016, the organization announced on Tuesday.  

The Osaka, Japan native compiled an impressive 8-2 record during the fall campaign, including winning each of his final five singles matches. In addition, he compiled a 4-2 record against ranked individuals, while beating three ranked opponents to end the season on his way to capturing the singles championship at the Jack Kramer Club Classic.  

Arizona will open the 2016 spring season on Jan. 15 vs. New Mexico and Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. The Wildcats' home opener will come against UC Riverside on Jan. 23 at noon.
