TUCSON - Arizona's women's golf team completed round one of play at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Friday afternoon. The squad sits in ninth place with a round of 294 (+10). Held Fri.-Sun., Oct. 19-21, the three-round, 54-hole event is being held at the Stanford Golf Course, a par 71, 6,130-yard facility.
No. 3 USC leads the team race with a 286 (+2). Oregon State sits in second place with a 287 (+3). No. 13 Vanderbilt rounds out the top three with a 288 (+4). The Wildcats are in ninth place with a 294 (+10), still ahead of Pac-12 foes UCLA in 11th place and California in 16th place. No. 28 Doris Chen of USC, No. 76 Cassy Isagawa of Oregon State and Josephine Janson of Oklahoma State share the tie for first place, all shooting rounds of 69 (-2).
No. 22 sophomore Manon Gidali paced the Cats with a tied for 10th-place finish and carding of 71 (E). No. 40 sophomore Kendall Prince finished in a tie for 17th place with a round of 72 (+1). No. 94 sophomore Andrea Vilarasau finished in a tie for 39th place and shot a round of 75 (+4). No. 54 freshman Janie Jackson recorded a round of 76 (+5) and sits in a tie for 52nd place. Anna Kim rounded out the Arizona five in a tie for 70th place. She shot a 78 (+7).
