Chris McAlister
Position: Football 1996-1998
Arizona cornerback Chris McAlister capped an outstanding three-year Wildcat career by winning the 1998 Mosi Tatupu Special Teams Player of the Year Award as the nation's top player in the kicking game. Chris won unanimous All-America first team honors and was an All-Pac 10 first team choice for three straight seasons.

Chris, at the time of his induction, was only the seventh player in college football history, and the first in Arizona history, to return a kick-off, punt and interception for touchdowns in the same season. He concluded an impressive Arizona career with 122 tackles, 43 kickoff returns and his 18-career interceptions place him number three on UA's all-time chart.

Chris was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 10th overall pick in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft. He set a new NFL record for the longest play with a 107 yard return for a touchdown on a missed field goal and was instrumental in the Ravens 34-7 Super Bowl XXXV win over the NY Giants.
