She reached the NCAA Championships on an at-large bid, but made the most of her opportunity with a sixth-place in the 5,000-meter race ... Kibet's time of 16:00.91 was the second-best time of her career and was good for All-America accolades ... Outdoors, Kibet holds the second-best times in UA history for both the 5K and 10K ... Her personal-best time of 15:57.20 in the 5K came at the Mt. SAC Relays, good for 10th place ... 2011 (XC): Kibet was UA's first or second finisher in every race of the cross country season ... She won the Dave Murray Invitational, running three miles in 16:22 ... At the Roy Griak Invitational, Kibet took fourth place in the 6,000-meter race with a time of 20:46.3, helping the team to a third-place finish ... Kibet also helped the women's squad take third place at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational ... Kibet ran the 6K in 20:21.1, good for 12th overall and the top finisher for Arizona ... Kibet took 13th place at the Pac-12 Championships, posting a time of 20:25 in the 6,000-meter race ... At the NCAA West Regional, Kibet was UA's top finisher and took fourth place overall, running 6,000 meters in 20:09 ... She finished in 52nd place at the NCAA Championships, clocking a time of 20:38.6 in the 6,000-meter race.

2011: Posted a solid freshman season despite never having run a competitive race in her career before her arrival at Arizona ... Posted a season-best time of 16:28.42 in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays, just missing a spot on the UA all-time top-10 list in the event ... Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Championships where she would finish 24th overall in a time of 16:39.61.

2010 (XC): Was the UA's top finisher at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, leading the squad to an 11th-place finish ... Was a second-team all-conference honoree with her 11th-place finish at the Pac-10 Championships ... She finished 12th at NCAA West Regionals, running 6,000 meters in 20:28.1.

Part of a successful running bloodline with two sisters with notable international achievements ... Silvia Kibet was a silver medalist in the 5,000 meters at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin while her other sister, Hildah, was ranked ninth in the world in 2009 in the 10,000 meters.
