Head coach Vicky Maes and the Arizona women’s tennis team announced the signing of Hanna Sohn for the 2014-15 season.
Sohn will come to UA from Cologne, Germany.
“We are very happy to welcome Hanna to our family,” Maes said. “She is a wonderful girl and a tough competitor. What I admire in her is her ability to outthink her opponents, not something you often see in young players nowadays.”
Sohn will join a Wildcat team that will lose four seniors in 2014. Junior Laura Oldham will be the lone senior, Inge Hendrikx and Shayne Austin will be juniors and Lauren Marker will be a sophomore.
“She will make an immediate impact in our line-up, yet I also know she will get a lot better in college,” Maes said. “Most importantly, I know she will make a loyal, hardworking, and positive teammate and that is what we value most.”
