2014: Indoors, Larsson completed two individual races for the Wildcats … At the UW Invitational, Larsson’s time of 9:23.21 was good for 12th place overall in the 3K … Larsson finished in third place in the 3K at the MPSF Championships, clocking a time of 9:15.64 … She was a member of the school-record team for the distance medley relay as well … The quartet of Larsson, Penney, Romero and Bellino clocked a time of 11:20.11 and finished in second place overall at the MPSF Championships … She only ran one race during the outdoor season, the 1,500-meter race at the ASU Invitational, taking sixth place with a time of 4:26.92 … She missed the rest of the season due to injury.

 

2013 (XC): Despite being a freshman, Larsson was one of the top runners for the UA women all year long, scoring for the Wildcats in each of the seven meets she competed in … She took second place at the George Kyte Classic finishing behind teammate Kayla Beattie … Larsson finished the 5K race in 16:52.4 … She won the three-mile race at the Dave Murray Invitational with a time of 16:31.73 … At the Roy Griak Invitational, Larsson finished in eighth place overall (fourth among UA runners) with a time of 21:06 in the 6K … Larsson was the 15th finisher overall at the Wisconsin adidas Invite and second Wildcat to cross the line, clocking a 6K time of 20:07 … Although she was the fourth Wildcat to finish the race, Larsson’s 24th-place finish may have been the most important of them all … Larsson suffered from dehydration and her legs locked up at the end of the race with about 50 meters to go … She fell down multiple times but got back to her feet walked across the finish line, a 6K time of 22:30 … The UA women won their first conference championship in program history by a mere six points … At the NCAA Championships, Larsson was two finishers away from All-America status, taking 42nd place overall (third Wildcat to finish) with a 6K time of 20:47.5 … She also helped the Wildcats earn a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships, the best finish in program history … That second-place finish was the worst finish the women’s team had all season, winning six out of seven competitions.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: In Sweden, high school athletics are not offered … However, she did still compete for a club team and was incredibly successful … She was the Swedish Junior Champion in 2012 for the steeplechase and the 1,500-meter race (indoors) … She holds the Swedish junior record for the steeplechase with a time of 9:56.50 … Entering Arizona, that time is better than the UA record … Larsson took fourth place at the 2013 European Junior Championships in the steeplechase … She was fifth in the world on the IAAF Junior 2013 descending order list in the steeplechase.

 

PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Jan and Eva Larsson and has two siblings, a brother, Johan Larssson and a sister, Anna … She will pursue a degree in physiology and aspires to go to med school after she completes her running career.
