TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona football will play a series with BYU, scheduled for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, it was announced on Tuesday in conjunction with the Cougars.
The Wildcats will travel to Provo, Utah for a contest at BYU on Sept. 12, 2026. In 2027, Arizona will host the Cougars on Sept. 11, 2027.
In April 2013, Arizona and BYU announced a three-game series for the 2016, 2018 and 2020 football seasons. The Cats and the Cougars will meet at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. in 2016 and in Tucson, Ariz. in 2018. Originally scheduled for the 2020 season in Provo, the third game of the series will now be played in Las Vegas during the 2021 season.
Arizona and BYU have met 22 times previously with the Wildcats leading the series 12-9-1. The first meeting between the two teams was during the 1936 season and the most recent meeting was 2008 when the Wildcats defeated the Cougars, 31-21, in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Dates, times and TV coverage information will be announced at a later date.
For fans looking to become new season ticket holders, deposits are currently being accepted for the 2015 football season. Deposits are $50 per seat and seat locations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Current season ticket holders will receive renewal information later this month.
