TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona men’s basketball program was one of 39 men's basketball programs to earn an NCAA Public Recognition Award Wednesday for posting a multi-year Academic Progress Rate that ranks in the top 10 percent of its sport.
The most recent APRs are multi-year rates based on scores from the 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14 academic years. The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each program in each sport.
The scores required to rank in the top 10 percent ranged from 980 to a perfect 1,000, depending on the sport. APRs for all Division I programs will be released May 27.
