TUCSON – Arizona softball opens its nine-game fall schedule this week with a doubleheader on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Hillenbrand Stadium.

The Wildcats will play Eastern Arizona and Glendale in a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. MST. Eastern Arizona and Glendale open up the round robin at 1 p.m. MST.

The Fall Round Robin is the first of six dates this fall that will host fall competition. All games will be free admission and first-come, first-served seating. Parking in surrounding lots is free.

This will be fans' first chance to see seven freshmen Wildcats (Hillary Edior, Joelle Krist, Taylor McQuillin, Merrilee Miller, Alyssa Palomino, Monica Pasillas and Tamara Statman) in an Arizona uniform in addition to 12 returners from the 2015 squad that went 41-20 and earned a berth to its 10th NCAA Super Regional in the last 11 years.
