TUCSON – Arizona volleyball alum Kim Glass was named to the Pac-12 All-Century team, the conference announced Tuesday.
Sixteen players were chosen from a field of 60 nominees who were chosen by each Pac-12 institution. This all-century team represents five different decades, and is comprised of Olympians in indoor volleyball, beach volleyball and basketball. Glass is one of seven outside hitters selected.
Glass was a three-time All-American during her four-year career at Arizona (2002-05) and went on to win a silver medal in the 2008 Olympics with Team USA.
The 2002 Pac-10 and National Freshman of the Year is Arizona's all-time leader in kills (2,151) and owns three of the top four season kill totals in Arizona history including a record 650 in 2003. Glass had 54 matches with 20 or more kills in her career, nearly double the second highest total in school history (Barb Bell – 30). She is the only Wildcat to have her jersey retired in McKale.
Glass helped lead Arizona to two Elite 8s in her Arizona career and led the Cats to 25 wins in 2005, the second-best win total in school history.
The Pac-12 is celebrating its 100th season and is releasing its all-century teams for all sports, as voted on by a panel of current coaches, former players and members of the media.
