Week 10 Recap: The Wildcats swept the Oregon schools by a score of 2-1 in both matches. Haley Silverberg and Charlotte Brascia scored the game-winning goals.
Arizona Back in the Rankings: Arizona is back in the top 25 polls as the NSCAA has the Wildcats at No. 21 this week. Both the TopDrawer Soccer and RPI have Arizona at 14 this week as well.
Stoian in the Record Books: Sophomore attacker Gabi Stoian earned an assist on Paige Crouch's goal against Oregon. She now has 15 career assists, which is third on the Arizona all-time assist list. The sophomore's eight assists this season is also tied with DeGracie for the second-most assists in one season. Stoian also has 53 career points (tied for the fourth most) and 19 career goals (fifth most).
DeGracie's Dimes: Junior midfielder Jaden DeGracie is second on the Arizona all-time assist list with 17 career helpers after assisting Paige Crouch against Colorado. She is just two behind Wildcat legend Mallory Miller.
Ironwomen: Senior defender Sheaffer Skadsen has been a model of consistency on the pitch this season for the Wildcats. She has played in 1,558 of the 1,575 minutes this season and has played every minute of the last 15 matches. Fellow senior defenders Alexa Montgomery and Laura Pimienta are not far behind as they have played in 1,389 and 1,360 minutes respectively.
You Get a Goal! And You Get a Goal!: 14 Wildcats have scored a total of 31 goals this season. That is tied for the most players with at least one goal in a season in Arizona history.
Battle Tested: Six of Arizona's 16 opponents have been ranked so far and the Wildcats hold a record of 3-2-1 against them. All in all, Arizona's 16 opponents have a combined record of 135-87-21.
A Helping Hand: Of the 31 goals Arizona has scored this season, 26 of them have been assisted. There have been 32 total team assists though, which is tied for first in the conference and Gabi Stoian's eight assists are first.
Not up in Here: The Wildcats have kept seven clean sheets so far this season. The seven clean sheets is already the third-most in school history. The 2004 squad finished the season with a total of 12.
Newcomers Making an Impact: Four freshmen have scored a goal this season (Kennedy Kieneker, Chelle Mahoney, Erica Stephan and Jessica Nelson). Last year's team only had two freshmen score a goal.
No Longer a Secret: The regular attendance at Mulcahy Stadium this season is something that hasn't been seen before in a long time. The average attendance for the 2015 season is 865 through nine matches. Four of the top 14 crowds in school history have occurred this season, with three of them in the top four.
You can Count on Them: Defenders Sheaffer Skadsen and Alexa Montgomery have been staples in the Arizona starting XI this season. They are the only two Wildcats to start every single match this season.
Last Time Out: The Wildcats split the Colorado/Utah series last season as they lost to the Buffs by a score of 3-1 and beat Utah 2-1. This is only the fifth time that Arizona has played Colorado and they have a record of 1-2-1 against the Buffs. The Wildcats have played Utah 13 times and are 7-6 in those matches.
Keys to Victory: There have been some trends this season that have been key to Arizona's success this season. When Arizona scores first they are 9-1, when the Wildcats outshoot their opponent they are 8-1-1, when the opponent takes less than 10 shots Arizona is 7-1-1 and when the Wildcats lead at halftime, they are 6-0. Also, Arizona is 7-3-1 in front of a crowd of 700+.
Wong Pitches In: Hannah Wong has eight career assists, which is the ninth-most in UA history.
