TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona senior, Emma Schoettmer was named November's Pac-12 Swimmer of the Month, the Conference office announced Wednesday.
In the month of November, Schoettmer recorded individual victories in both the 100 breast and 200 breast, and earned two team wins in the 200 medley relay.
Against No. 19 UCLA, she took first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:01.73 and the 200 breast with 2:13.48. Schoettmer earned NCAA 'B' cuts in both events at the dual meet. The senior was also a member of the team that finished first in the 200 medley relay (1:40.37).
Arizona then competed against No. 16 USC where Schoettmer earned another victory in the 100 breast, dropping her time to 1:01.30. She later went to finish second in the 200 breast (2:12.04), touching only five-hundredths of a second behind USC. Schoettmer again received NCAA 'B' cuts in both events. She also helped the team place first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.99.
This is the first-career Swimmer of the Month honor for Schoettmer, and Arizona's sixth all-time monthly acknowledgement.
