Arizona: 3L... Year two of the spread offense at Arizona should be a special one for senior Willie Tuitama - much as was his junior year in the first season of the system... One of five quarterbacks to receive All-Pac-10 consideration and was an honorable mention selection in 2007... Helped Arizona finish No. 10 nationally in passing with a school-record 308 yards per game... Set school records for season passing yards (3,683), touchdowns (28), completions (327), attempts (524)... Set school records for 510 passing yards and 517 yards in total offense at Washington, earning Pac-10 Player of the Week honor... Set school record with 3,520 yards in total offense and is No. 5 on the UA career chart with 5,759 yards... No. 3 on UA chart with 6,123 yards passing, trailing the top mark by 1,500 yards... Did it all in first iteration of a new offense... Considered a question mark after a banged-up soph year, Tuitama came through in a big way, starting and finishing all 12 games... His 2006 season was abbreviated by hits to the head at LSU, vs. UCLA and ASU, effectively causing him to miss much of five games... First play of the game at LSU drew a roughing the passer penalty but also changed the complexion of his season... Completed 56 percent, throwing for 1,335 yards and seven scores on the year... Then career-high 24 completions on career-high 41 attempts against Washington, with 308 yards... Career-long 78-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Johnson at WSU... Opened Oregon victory with eight-for-nine passing and two scores to post career-best single-game 274.22 pass efficiency rating, then sat down for second half... Had 93 consecutive passes thrown without an interception bridging the 2006-07 seasons, a game shy of UA record of 128... Clearly one of the top themes in UA football for 2005 was his emergence in the seventh game of the year and his leadership and play the rest of the way... Came out of a planned redshirt year to play in five and start the final four games, providing an immediate team-wide spark... Earned honorable mention Freshman All-America honors in that short span from The Sporting News ... Finished with a 58 percent completion rate, hitting 82 of 142 attempts for nine scores and 1,105 yards... His 136.99 pass efficiency rating stacks up as No. 6 in UA history... Led the Cats to victory with career-best 335 yards passing in his first start on the road at Oregon State and a week later over No. 7-ranked UCLA with a 204-yard effort... In his first action off the bench vs. No. 15 Oregon, he completed 18 of 34 throws for two scores and 182 yards... Threw '05 season-long bomb of 75 yards to Mike Thomas for a score at OSU and a 68-yarder to Anthony Johnson to set up another score against the Beavs... Season highs of 21 completions, 42 attempts and 3 INT vs. Washington... Was the lone quarterback signee in the class of 2005...
