Arizona: 2L... Will compete for a top job at cornerback and in varied defensive packages in 2010, as well as special teams starter... His late-season play really helped boost the Wildcats in 2009, with key plays in ASU and USC victories... Was backup corner and kick coverage player in all 13 contests... Raced downfield and recovered a muffed punt in closing moments against Arizona State, giving UA the ball at the 22-yard line for the last possession and ultimately last play of the game - a winning 32-yard field goal as time expired. That play helped earn him team's special teams player of the week honor along with Alex Zendejas who made the kick... Made open-field tackle at close of third quarter on punt play to keep USC at bay in tied game... Third on club with 10 special teams tackles among his 11 total... Did not play in 2008 because of an undisclosed suspension... Played wide receiver in 2007, with three catches for 10 yards, and one reverse run for six yards... Third on the squad with eight special-teams tackles including six on kickoff coverage... Was expected to contend in the secondary after playing defensive back in spring 2007 ball... Had seven interceptions, seven PBUs and 49 tackles as a senior... During his career he returned three interceptions for touchdowns. He also had three punt returns for touchdowns.... Helped hold opponents to a reported 85 yards per game passing his senior year... Had a 76-yard touchdown run vs. Sonora in Sac-Joaquin Section Division III championship game...
