TUCSON - University of Arizona women's golf sophomore Andrea Vilarasau has been named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention, it was announced by the league office on Thursday. Vilarasau was the Wildcats' top finisher at the 2013 NCAA Championships, where the team earned a top-10 finish.

A native of Sant Cugat Del Valles, Spain, Vilarasau holds a GPA of 3.143 as an industrial engineering major. She is a two-year letterwinner for the Wildcats and played in all 11 tournaments in 2012-13, totaling 34 rounds of play.

She recorded her season-low tournament of 218 (+2) at the Windy City Collegiate Classic in October. During the season, she carded three top-10 finishes and five top-20 finishes.

Vilarasau was Arizona's top finisher at the NCAA Championships, May 21-24, in Athens, Ga. She finished tied for 10th with a score of 290 (+2). She is UA's first player to finish in the top 10 at the national tournament since the 2010 season.

Playing four sophomores and one freshman, the Wildcats earned a top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships. No. 9 Arizona finished eighth after carding rounds of 298, 295, 297 and 300 for a total of 1190 (+38). The Wildcats were one of four Pac-12 teams to finish in the top 10.
