TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona women's soccer team will compete in four matches throughout the spring beginning in late March continuing through April.
"I am really looking forward to seeing our team compete in the four matches we have lined up in the next month," head coach Tony Amato said. "We have been imprinting an attacking and defending philosophy since we arrived in January and it is important to have it tested against players other than ourselves in training."
On Saturday, March 30 the Wildcats will host NAU at 2 p.m. The following Saturday, April 6 the Cats host NMSU at 1 p.m. Arizona closes spring home matches on Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. against UTEP. All home matches will be played at Murphey Field at Mulcahy Stadium.
To close the spring matches, Arizona travels to El Paso, Texas to compete against UNM on Sunday, April 21 at noon.
"These matches will be crucial for our team development," coach Amato said. "In order to be on the same page this fall, our current players will need to set the foundation now. I want our players to be consistent, disciplined, and put their talents to work for the team. I am excited to see these qualities displayed in competition."
