Teddy Bruschi HOF
One of the best edge rushers in the game, Tedy Bruschi's flair for getting to the quarterback had him leave the college game as the NCAA career co-leader with 52 sacks, and earned him Lombardi Award Finalist status for consecutive seasons in 1994 and 1995. A consensus All-America selection in 1994, he bettered that with unanimous All-American honors in 1995 to become only the second Wildcat to do so. In the final game of his career, at Arizona State, he was in on four sacks to help him reach the NCAA record and finished with 14.5 sacks to lead the nation. As a senior, he was named All- Pac 10, for the third straight year, Pac-10 player of the Year and won the Morris Trophy for outstanding lineman. In 1993 he led the Pac-10 with 19 sacks and earned Fiesta Bowl Defensive MVP honors, and added the Defensive MVP Award in the Freedom Bowl the very next year. In all, his tackles for losses and sacks cost opponents more than a full game's worth of offense -454 yards. A third round NFL draft pick, he went on to start at linebacker for the New England Patriots.
