TUCSON, Ariz. Arizona football will have six National Letter of Intent student-athletes join the team in January, it was announced by head coach Rich Rodriguez on Wednesday. The Wildcats welcome two defensive linemen, a quarterback, a cornerback, an offensive lineman and a linebacker as part of 2014’s class of juniors.

Jerod Cody (6-2, 280) is a defensive lineman from Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nev. He spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons at Glendale Community College playing on the line for the Gauchos.

Patrick Glover (6-2, 212) is a cornerback from New Orleans, La. After graduating from Mountain View High School (Ariz.), he spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons at Scottsdale Community College in the backfield for the Fighting Artichokes.

Kaige Lawrence (6-4, 280) is an offensive lineman from Victorville, Calif. and Silverado High School. After starting his career at Chadron State (Neb.) in 2012, he spent the 2013 season as a member of the offensive line at Chaffey College.

Jerrard Randall (6-1, 190) is a quarterback from Hollywood, Fla. and a graduate of Chaminade-Madonna High School. He spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons at LSU before transferring to Northeast Mississippi Community College for the 2013 season. He was a four-star recruit by all major recruiting services and was rated as the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 47 player in the state of Florida by Rivals.com.

Antonio Smothers (6-2, 237) is a linebacker from Chicago, Ill. and a graduate of West Side High School (Gary, Ind.). A three-star recruit by Rivals.com and a member of ESPN’s JC 50, he spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons at Scottsdale Community College.

Jeff Worthy (6-3, 290) is a defensive lineman from Whittier, Calif. and is a graduate of Whittier Christian High School. He spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons at Boise State before transferring to Santa Ana College. He’s a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com.

Arizona will face Boston College, on Dec. 31, in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl, in Shreveport, La. The game will air on ESPN and will kick at 10:30 a.m. MT.
