Freshman LaBrittney Jones was named one of four Student-Athletes of the Month by Arizona’s C.A.T.S. Academic staff for November and December.

Jones joins Brenden Redfern of men’s golf, Courtney Rodriguez of softball and Naoki Takeda of men’s tennis.

UA student-athletes are recognized for their outstanding academic effort, demonstrating academic improvement, solid academic performance and evidence of personal character, integrity and standing out as a role model.

Jones also has proven a significant contributor on the court, starting all 11 games, averaging 5.7 ppg and 6.8 rpg in her freshmen season.

She had a career-high game versus Texas Tech on December 15, scoring 12 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
