TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona baseball team will return to campus for the start of the spring semester next week with official practices beginning Jan. 24. The Wildcats are just five weeks away from their season opener against Kent State set for Feb. 14 at Hi Corbett Field.

A limited number of reserved season tickets in section AA are available to the general public. Seats in this section are located directly behind the Arizona dugout (first base side) and offer outstanding benefits that come with being a season ticket holder. Fans can come to all 38 home games for as a little as $150 dollars – a great savings over individual game pricing.

General admission season tickets remain on sale for $115. Single game tickets and mini plans will be available to the general public beginning Jan. 31.

The annual Meet the Team Day has been set Saturday, Feb. 1, at noon at Hi Corbett Field. This is the first chance for fans to meet the 2014 Wildcats, who will hold an intrasquad scrimmage followed by an autograph session.

There will be several interactive opportunities for kids and lucky fans, including joining head coach Andy Lopez in the dugout. It will also be the first chance to pick up the 2014 Arizona baseball schedule poster. Arizona Athletics ticket staff members will be on hand to provide complete ticket information to fans who are interested in purchasing tickets.

The Arizona baseball program drew more than 100,000 fans to its games in 2013 and ranked among the national leaders in attendance for the second consecutive season. A total of 103,877 patrons passed through the gates this year at Hi Corbett Field, a figure ranked No. 14 nationally out of 298 Division I programs. Over the 38 home games, the Wildcats averaged 2,733 per game, which checked in No. 21 across the country.

The Wildcats have drawn 209,008 spectators to their home games since moving into Hi Corbett Field for the start of 2012 season, a year in which they captured the program’s fourth national title.

Tickets can be purchased through the McKale Ticket Office (520-621-2287) or online at www.arizonawildcats.com. For continued coverage of Arizona football, follow the team on Facebook at facebook.com/ArizonaBaseball and on Twitter @ArizonaBaseball.
