Game Storylines
» Coming off a hard-fought victory over UCLA, the nation’s top-ranked team will look for its first sweep of the Los Angeles trip since the 2004-05 season when it visits USC on Sunday evening.

» Arizona is 3-0 in true road games this season and leads the Pac-12 with 27 true road wins since the start of the 2009-10 season; a win on Sunday would move UA to 17-0 and mark the best start in program history.

» UA has now been the AP No. 1 for a total of 34 weeks, the ninth-most in NCAA history and second-most in Pac-12 history; Arizona is the first Pac-12 team to ascend to the top spot in the AP poll since January 6, 2006.

» Now in his fifth season in Tucson, Miller continues to honor a process that has seen him lead UA to a Pac-12-best 96-28 (.774) record since the start of the 2010-11 campaign.

» Utilizing several players who can guard multiple positions, Arizona heads into the weekend ranked fifth nationally in scoring defense (56.8) and sixth in field goal percentage defense (.368); opponents are shooting just .283 from beyond the arc this season, a mark that ranks 17th in the nation.

» Arizona is allowing opponents to shoot just .364 overall and .270 from the arc in the second half this season, outscoring opponents by an average of 9.8 points per game after the break.

» Arizona has won the rebounding battle in each of its 16 games this season and ranks fifth nationally with a +11.4 rebound margin; UA is one of only two teams nationally to rank in the top 20 in both offensive (.410) and defensive (.735) rebound percentage.

» Rebounding has been a total team focus this season, as evidenced by the fact that the leading rebounder on the league’s top rebounding team ranks just eighth in the Pac-12 (Gordon/7.9); UA has four players averaging better than 2.0 offensive rebounds per game.

» Arizona’s post defense has been stellar, limiting opponents to 40.3 percent shooting inside the arc to rank seventh nationally in two-point field goal percentage defense.

» Miller’s biggest Arizona team has been lethal in the paint, nearly doubling its opponents’ output in the same area; UA is +15.3 points per game in the paint on average and has scored 49.4 percent of its points this season in the paint.

» One of the better teams nationally at not fouling thus far, UA has almost made more free throws (269) than its opponents have attempted (273); Nick Johnson and Kaleb Tarczewski are a combined 45-of-55 (.818) from the line in UA’s last six games.
