Women's Tennis Hosts Three Matches

TUCSON, Ariz.Arizona Women’s tennis (1-0) will continue spring matches this weekend with three dual matches at the Robson Tennis Center.

The Wildcats will start with San Jose State (2-1) on Saturday Feb. 1 at 10:30 a.m. and will continue on Sunday Feb. 2 with a double-header, first against New Mexico State (0-0) at 9 a.m. and then San Francisco (4-0) at 1 p.m.

Arizona will look to pick up where they left off last weekend against Northern Arizona, after sweeping the match, 7-0.

In singles play, all of the players won their matches in straight-sets over NAU.

At the No. 5 spot, freshman Lauren Marker (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) won her first-career match.

Defending WAC Champion San Jose State is looking to have another strong season after finishing 19-6 in 2013.

New Mexico State will officially start their spring season this weekend.

San Francisco will head to Tucson after taking on No. 8 Cal on Friday Jan. 31.

San Francisco and New Mexico State will play a dual match in Tucson, as well, on Monday Feb. 3 at the Robson Tennis Center at 12 p.m.
