Freshman LaBrittney Jones scored double-digits in her fourth-consecutive game, but Arizona women’s basketball (5-23, 1-16) fell to Oregon State (20-9, 12-5), 78-48 on Friday night in Corvallis, Ore.
Jones scored 15 points, including a 5-of-11 mark from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Senior Erica Barnes also scored in double figures for the Wildcats with 10 points.
Senior Carissa Crutchfield led Arizona with five assists for her eighth game dishing out five or more assists.
Oregon State connected on 12-of-22 three-pointers for the third-highest number of threes by any Arizona opponent this season.
“We didn’t do what we need to do. They capitalized and made plays,” Arizona Head Coach Niya Butts said. “We shot a great percentage in the first half, but we needed to offset those threes and we weren’t able to do it.”
The Wildcats will play their final regular-season game on Sunday, March 2 at Oregon at 1 p.m. PT. The game will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
