TUCSON, Ariz. –Arizona women’s tennis (16-3, 5-2 Pac-12) entered the top 25 rankings, the ITA announced Tuesday.
Coming in at No. 25 the Wildcats remain undefeated at home this season with a perfect 13-0 record.
The lone three losses this season for the Cats have been at the hands of teams in the top 20.
Arizona is 16-0 when claiming the doubles point to begin the match.
Marker has started her freshman season with a 15-2 singles record playing at the No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, including a straight-set win over California's No. 14 Zsofi Susanyi. She was also named Pac-12 Player of the Week for the week of March 23.
Stubbe has has played consistently at the No. 2 spot, only falling in four matches to 14 wins in her senior season. She was named Pac-12 Player of the Week for the week of March 10.
Smyth has consistently played No. 1 for Arizona and has a 12-3 record for the Wildcats, including two wins over ranked players.
No singles player has lost more than four matches.
The Wildcats are in the top 25 in the rankings for the first time since 2012. That season the Cats went to the second round of the NCAA tournament and fell to then No. 7 North Carolina, 4-2.
The last home match for Arizona is against Arizona State on Saturday April 19 at 1:00 p.m. This match will be a red out and will celebrate the seniors.
