Two Wildcats Named All-Region

TUCSON - A day after earning first-team all-Pac-12 honors, sophomores Hallie Wilson and Chelsea Goodacre were recognized by the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) with all-region citations. Wilson was awarded first-team all-west region and Goodacre was selected to the second team, the association announced Thursday.

It is the first all-region recognition for both players.

Wilson leads the team with a .371 batting average and a .474 on-base percentage. The Santa Ana, Calif., native has hit 12 doubles, seven home runs and driven in 22 runs primarily as the team's leadoff hitter.

Goodacre leads the team and ranks third in the Pac-12 with 17 home runs and 58 RBI on the season. The Temecula, Calif., native bats .343 with a .674 slugging percentage.
