Arizona assistant men's tennis coach Tom Lloyd was named head coach of the Loyola Marymount men's tennis team, the program announced this week.

Lloyd spent the last seven years at Arizona as an assistant under head coach Tad Berkowitz. He helped to lead the Wildcats to two top-25 seasons and two NCAA Tournament appearances.

Prior to coaching, Lloyd played tennis at Arizona from 1999-2004. He was a four-time letter-winner and team captain for three seasons. He posted 52 singles wins and 33 doubles wins in his career.

The Yorba Linda, Calif. native will return to his roots in southern California to take over a Loyola Marymount squad that went 4-20 last season, 2-3 in conference play.
