TUCSON, Ariz. – For the second straight season, Arizona middle blocker Rachel Rhoades was recognized for her work off the court as she was named Pac-12 Second-Team All-Academic, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Rhoades, who was named Pac-12 Honorable Mention All-Academic last year, owns a cumulative 3.73 GPA in psychology.
On the court this season, she has posted 46 kills on .309 hitting to go along with 25 blocks and 11 digs. The .309 hitting percentage ranks second on the squad.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall grade point average and either be a starter or a significant contributor.
The Wildcats host No. 3 Stanford tonight at 6 p.m. before closing out the regular season against Arizona State on Friday at 5 p.m. Friday’s match against ASU will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
