Head coach Niya Butts and the Arizona women’s basketball team (1-5) will travel to Provo, Utah to take on Brigham Young University (5-0) on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. MT.
The Wildcats are coming off a 70-58 home loss to Wake Forest. All of Arizona’s games this season have been decided by 12 points or fewer.
Seniors Kama Griffitts and Erica Barnes scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, while freshman LaBrittney Jones recorded eight rebounds and three blocks.
In five games, the Cougars have scored 80 or more points in three of their games. They have outrebounded four of their five opponents and dished out more assists and recorded more blocks than all five of their opponents.
They are led by seniors Kim Beeston (15.2 ppg) and Jennifer Hamson (19.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg) and sophomore Lexi Eaton (13.8 ppg)
BYU holds a 7-5 advantage with Arizona in the all-time series dating back to 1973, including a 2-1 mark in Provo.
The Wildcats last faced the Cougars in 2012 in Tucson. BYU took the game, 62-48.
