TUCSON – University of Arizona junior golf Kendall Prince has been named the 2013 Oregon Golf Association Player of the Year, it was announced on Friday.

Prince was chosen because of what she achieved locally, regionally and nationally. Winning the Oregon Amateur, medalist honors at the PNGA Amateur and advancing to the round of 16 at US Women’s Amateur are notable achievements for the Lake Oswego, Ore. native in 2013.

In her collegiate game, Prince was 42nd at the 2013 NCAA Championships and paced Arizona to a top-10 finish. This fall, she earned four top-50 finishes and shot two rounds of 69.

The Wildcats begin the 2014 spring schedule with the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, hosted by Ohio State, in Palos Verdes, Calif. (Feb. 9-11).
