Game Storylines
» Top-ranked Arizona will look to complete its non-conference schedule unscathed for the second-straight season when it hosts Northern Arizona at McKale Center on Monday; a win on Monday would give UA the third-best start in program history.

» UA has won 26-consecutive regular-season non-conference games; the Wildcats are 35-4 (.897) in non-conference home games and 64-11 (.853) at McKale Center overall under head coach Sean Miller.

» UA has now been the AP No. 1 for a total of 32 weeks, tied for the ninth-most in NCAA history and second-most in Pac-12 history; Arizona is the first Pac-12 team to ascend to the top spot in the AP poll since January 6, 2006.

» Now in his fifth season in Tucson, Miller continues to honor a process that has seen him lead UA to a Pac-12-best 92-28 (.767) record since the start of the 2010-11 campaign.

» With several players who can guard multiple positions, Arizona has been one of the nation’s top defensive teams this season, allowing opponents to shoot just 37.3 percent from the floor and 28.5 percent from long distance.

» Arizona is allowing opponents to shoot just .372 overall and .258 from the arc in the second half this season, outscoring opponents by an average of 10.2 points per game after the break.

» Long and athletic on the perimeter, UA has hassled opposing shooters into a 28.5 percent mark from three-point range this season, including a total of 37-of-140 (.264) in its last nine games.

» Arizona has won the rebounding battle in each of its 12 games this season and ranks second nationally with a +13.5 rebound margin and ninth with a .417 offensive rebound percentage; UA is averaging 13.3 offensive boards and 14.4 second-chance points per game.

» Arizona’s post defense has been stellar, limiting opponents to 40.9 percent shooting inside the arc and averaging 5.2 blocks per game; last season’s UA team averaged only 3.8 blocks per contest.

» The Wildcats’ offensive attack is operating at 49.3 percent from the floor, while averaging 24.7 free throw attempts per game; T.J. McConnell ranks 13th nationally in assists (6.5/game) and ranks second in the Pac-12 with a 3.3 assist-to-turnover ratio.
