Game Storylines»
Remaining at No. 1 for a fifth-consecutive week, Arizona will face UCLA for the lone time in the 2013-14 regular season on Thursday night when it pays a visit to Pauley Pavilion.

» Arizona is 2-0 in true road games this season and leads the Pac-12 with 26 true road wins since the start of the 2009-10 season; a win on Thursday would equal the best start in UA history.

» UA has now been the AP No. 1 for a total of 34 weeks, the ninth-most in NCAA history and second-most in Pac-12 history; Arizona is the first Pac-12 team to ascend to the top spot in the AP poll since January 6, 2006.

» Now in his fifth season in Tucson, Miller continues to honor a process that has seen him lead UA to a Pac-12-best 95-28 (.772) record since the start of the 2010-11 campaign.

» Utilizing several players who can guard multiple positions, Arizona heads into the week ranked third nationally in scoring defense (54.9) and fifth in field goal percentage defense (.366); opponents are shooting just .282 from beyond the arc this season, a mark that ranks 15th in the nation.

» Arizona is allowing opponents to shoot just .361 overall and .261 from the arc in the second half this season, outscoring opponents by an average of 10.4 points per game after the break.

» Arizona has won the rebounding battle in each of its 15 games this season and ranks third nationally with a +12.1 rebound margin; UA is one of only two teams nationally to rank in the top 15 in both offensive (.414) and defensive (.744) rebound percentage.

» Rebounding has been a total team focus this season, as evidenced by the fact that the leading rebounder on the league’s top rebounding team ranks just seventh in the Pac-12 (Gordon/8.0); UA has four players averaging better than 2.0 offensive rebounds per game.

» Arizona’s post defense has been stellar, limiting opponents to 40.1 percent shooting inside the arc to rank eighth nationally in two-point field goal percentage defense.

» Miller’s biggest Arizona team has been lethal in the paint, nearly doubling its opponents’ output in the same area; UA is +15.0 points per game in the paint on average and has scored 49.2 percent of its points this season in the paint.

» One of the better teams nationally at not fouling thus far, UA has made more free throws (252) than its opponents have attempted (247); Nick Johnson and Kaleb Tarczewski are a combined 40-of-47 (.851) from the line in UA’s last five games.
