TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women’s golfer Lindsey Weaver has been named a Women’s Golf Coaches Association Second-Team All-American, it was announced by the organization on Thursday. The teams include 40 student-athletes, including 16 from the Pac-12 Conference, comprised of first, second and honorable mention teams.
Weaver earned Arizona’s 54th All-America citation and its fourth in the last five seasons. She was a first-team All-Pac-12 honoree in her first season with the Wildcats. She earned a runner-up finish at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, a top-20 finish at the NCAA Championships and was Arizona’s top finisher in five tournaments this season. She holds a stroke average of 72.32 with six top-10 finishes and eight top-20 finishes.
Weaver shot a season-low round of 67 at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview and a season-low tournament of 208 (-8) at the Silverado Showdown.
