TUCSON, Ariz - 43rd-ranked Arizona snapped a season high five match losing streak defeating Tulsa 4-3 Saturday at the Tucson Country Club.

The Wildcats got on the board first winning two of their three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. The duo of senior Michelle Gough and junior Sophie Regnier defeated 26th-ranked Jennifer Despain and Jana Sedivec, 8-4, at the No. 1 spot. At the second position, the team of freshman Debbie Larocque and junior Laresa Marino outlasted Aleksandra Durska and Marolein Van Dongen, 8-5.

In singles play, the squads split the six matches clinching Arizona's sixth victory of the season. Playing for the first time at the top singles spot, Larocque earned a win over Bianca Posada, 6-3, 7-5. In the No. 3 singles contest, Regnier topped TU's Jennifer Despain, 6-3, 6-5. UA senior Joanna Buczkowaska flew by Zoe Buhagiar, 6-0, 6-0. Gough fell at the No. 4 position to Jana Sedivec, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5.

The Cats will travel to Seattle, Wash. to play Washington on Friday, April 6, at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
