Manuma Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

Tucson, Ariz. (Mar. 5, 2001) -- Redshirt freshman Leneah Manuma was named Pac-10 player of the week for the week of Feb. 26-March 5. Manuma had two home runs against No. 5 Oklahoma and an intentional walk. Manuma hit .600 on the week and .667 during the Hillenbrand Invitational.

Against Western Michigan during the week, Manuma hit three home runs. She also had six RBI. In the seven games last week, she had nine hits, three doubles, three home runs, eight runs, six RBI, and six walks. On the season, Manuma's hitting .438 with 11 home runs, 34 RBI, 32 hits and has scored 25 runs. Manuma is the first Arizona player to earn the honor this year.
