Four Wildcat Cross Country Runners Earn Academic Honors

Four members of the University of Arizona men's and women's cross country teams were named to the Academic All-Pacific-10 Conference teams this week.

Junior Tara Chaplin, who won the Pac-10 title Oct. 28 at the race in Seattle, Wash., earned second team honors with a 3.45 grade point average in elementary education. Junior Mike Cramer also was tabbed to the second team on the men's side with a 3.44 GPA in chemical engineering. Cramer was one of the top runners on the men's team, winning the Purdue Invitaitonal and finishing 13th at the Purdue Invitational.

Senior Katrin Engelen and junior Jennifer Burris were named to the Academic All-Pac-10 honorable mention list on the women's side.
