Khan Captures Singles Title in Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Freshman Uzma Khan defeated Teaxs A&M's Leah Killen in the championship match of her singles bracket, 6-0, 4-6, 6-4, Sunday at the Wolverine Fall Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. The victory runs Khan's winning streak to seven and she remains undefeated on the Fall season.

In other singles action, senior Vanessa Abel fell in the consolation finals of her singles bracket to Texas A&M's Lisa Dingwall, 4-6, 6-4, 5-7.

Sophomores Laresa Marino and Carly Stringer highlighted Arizona's doubles play, capping off an undefeated weekend with a victory over Michigan's duo of Maya Canfield and Marya Farah, 8-3.

The Wildcats return to action when they travel to Irvine, Calif. for the ITA Regionals Nov. 11-14.
