Cats Sweep Washington State Behind's Talbot's Double-Double

PULLMAN, Wash.Sophomore outside hitter Jill Talbot recorded 10 kills and 10 digs as No. 19 Arizona completed a weekend sweep of its Washington trip with a 15-11, 15-2, 15-11 win over the Cougars in Pullman Saturday night.

The Cats, who out-blocked Washington State, 14-3, improved to 15-8 with their third consecutive win, 9-5 in Pac-10 play. WSU fell to 12-11 and 6-9.

Talbot hit a career-best .600 (10-1-15) and led all players with her 10 digs. Junior middle blocker Marisa DaLee hit .500 (8-2-15), and freshman middle blocker Stefani Saragosa hit a season-high .400 (8-2-15) and had a match-best seven blocks.

The Cougars were led by freshman outside hitter Adrian Hankoff's 12 kills and nine digs.

The Cats return to action next weekend when they play host to their final Pac-10 weekend of the seasson. Arizona takes on California at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, then faces No. 2 Stanford at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13.
