COACH LUTE OLSON -
On losing Loren Woods for the rest of the season:
We will continue to miss him as we have the last month, but these guys are playing awful well without him. We've had to adjust what we do defensively, because the whole defensive game plan was that we had a great shot blocker back there and we would be able to do something as a result of that. Since he's been out we don't have the size that we had but Stanford's inside three are pretty tough and out guys did a great job defensively against them.

On Jackson State's Vincent Jones:
He reminds me a little big of Loren Woods. The guy is a great shot blocker, has tremendous timing and goes for everything that's up there. He has a nice shooting touch, runs the court like a guard and that will be an obvious concern for us. All there big guys really run the court well.

RICHARD JEFFERSON -
On losing Loren Woods:

It's been difficult, but coach Olson has us ready and focused on our goals and that was to win a Pac-10 championship and hopefully win a national championship so he's has us focused and no matter what team we had out on the floor, regardless of who's hurt, who's playing or who's not playing, we have to focus on what we have to do.

On matching up with Jackson State:
They are a very good team. They won their conference tournament and they have to be confident coming in. No 16 seed has ever beaten a one-seed. I'm not saying that they're not going to beat us but we're confident that we match-up with their players. You can't fear anyone or think they have better athletes, you just have to go in thinking that you have the best team on the floor.

MICHAEL WRIGHT -
On losing Loren Woods:
...we knew there was going to be a slim chance that Loren was going to return and it's going to be hard to pick up the slack from his 15 points and 17 rebounds and four blocked shots and we just need to be focused and play every game one at a time.

On matching up with Jackson State:
Jackson State doesn't have anything to lose. They're the 16 seed playing against the one-seed and they think they can give us a pretty good run. We're going to have to come out and play and put more points on the board than they are.
