TUCSON, Ariz. The No. 55 Arizona men's tennis team upset No. 34 Arizona State, 4-3, Saturday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. The Cats are now 6-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while the Sun Devils fall to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Senior Jean-Noel LaCoste clinched the match in singles play, defeating No. 97 Ed Carter, 6-2, 6-4, at the No. 2 position. At the No. 4 spot, freshman Tom Lloyd beat Pim Van Mele, 6-4, 6-3.

Senior Alex Brown earned a win against Andrew Golub, 7-5, 6-2, at the No. 5 spot, while sophomore Caleb Marquardt defeated Matt Jacobs, 6-2, 6-1.

The Sun Devils swept the Wildcats in doubles play. LaCoste and senior Michel Stopa fell to No. 26 Carter and Alex Osterrieth, 8-5, at the No. 1 spot.

The Wildcats return to action when they play host to Marquette, Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
