TEMPE, Ariz. - The first ranked Arizona women's golf team is tied for first place with host Arizona State after the second day of play at the Ping/ASU Invitational. The Wildcats shot a two-day team total of 9-over-par 585. The tournament is being held at the Karsten Golf Course (par-72, 6,101 yards) located on the campus of Arizona State. Rounding out the top five are New Mexico (10-over-586), Southern California (16-over-592) and San Jose State (18-over-594).

Individually for the Wildcats Senior Jenna Daniels is in first place carding a two-day total of 5-under-par 139. Senior Jill Gomric and freshman Julia Kraschinski are tied for 25th at 5-over-par 149, while junior Christina Monteiro is tied for 30th posting a 6-over-par 150. Sophomore Cristina Baena is in 38th place shooting an 8-over-par 152.

Freshman Anne Lee is golfing as an individual for the Wildcats and is in 76th place with a 16-over-par 160.

The final day of play is tomorrow, Sunday, with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
