LOS ANGELES - Arizona freshman Perrine Pernin defeated UCLA's Zana Zlebnik, 6-1, 6-4, earning the Wildcats' lone point in a 6-1 defeat to the ninth-ranked Bruins Sunday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.

The Bruins captured the doubles point winning all three doubles contests. At the No. 1 spot, UCLA's duo of Lauren Fisher and Petya Marinova defeated Arizona's pair of senior Michelle Gough and freshman Debbie Larocque, 8-3.

At the top singles position, UCLA's Sara Walker outlasted Gough, 6-0, 7-5. The Bruins went on to claim four of the five remaining singles matches to account for their six points.

The Wildcats return to action Sunday, Feb. 4, when they play host to Northern Arizona at noon MST.
