Men’s Tennis to Compete Against Arizona State and Loyola Marymount

This Week: The 51st-ranked University of Arizona men’s tennis team (6-2 overall, 0-1 Pac-10) will travel to Tempe, Ariz. to play against intra-state rival Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 12:00 p.m. The Cats will then play host to Loyola Marymount on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 12:00 pm.

The Wildcats hold a 50-29 series advantage over the Sun Devils and are 1-0 all-time against the Lions.

Fall Play: Junior Bruno Aropovic won the championships of flight two at the USD All-College Invitational in October. Aropovic compiled a 5-3 record in fall play.

Junior transfer Steven Capriati compiled a fall record of 4-2. He made it to the championships of flight one at the USD All-College Invitational before falling to Oliver Mailberger of San Diego State, 6-3, 6-2.

The Cats only returning starter from the 1999-2000 squad, sophomore Tom Lloyd, had a fall record of 4-4. Lloyd made it to the semifinals at the Thunderbirds Invitational, where he fell to Marko Gojanovic of Clemson, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
