TUCSON--No. 3-ranked Arizona wasted little time putting runs on the scoreboard Sunday in its final two games of the Hillenbrand Invitational softball tournament, whipping Indiana 10-0 and then topping Northwestern (La.) State 8-0.

Arizona (25-1), finished 5-0 in the tournament, tying Oregon State for the best record but winning the title on a run-differential basis in the round-robin affair. The teams were the only two in the seven-team field which, by agreement, did not play each other.

Becky Lemke held Indiana (2-8) to two hits and struck out 11 in six innings, while her Arizona teammates pounded out 15 hits against three IU pitchers.

UA started fast, with a run-scoring single by Lauren Bauer and a two-run single by Lindsey Collins in the bottom of the first.

Toni Mascarenas was three-for-three -- all doubles -- and scored four times. Allison Andrade hit her sixth home run of the year, a two-run shot down the leftfield line to end the game on the eight-run mercy rule.

Sheri Savko doubled in a run for the Hoosiers Tulsa in the second after Stomry Hanson singled, but UA pitcher Becky Lemke held the Hoosiers hitless the rest of the way.

Against the Demons in the last game, the Cats made the most of seven hits -- four of them home runs. Mascarenas extended her streak to four consecutive doubles in the first inning and, after Lauren Bauer walked, Lindsey Collins hit her seventh homer of the year to put UA up 3-0.

Chrissy Gil hit her second home run of the season and Jennie Finch followed with her 12th to open the Cats' fourth inning. Nicole Giordano hit her first of the year, a three-run shot to right, in the top of the sixth.

UA's Jennie Finch had a no-hitter for four and one-third innings before Shannon Straty singled into leftfield for Northwestern State (14-9). Finch struck out six and allowed only three balls hit out of the infield.

The Demons finished 3-2 in the tournament, the third-best record.
