    LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The top-ranked Arizona women's swimming and diving team defeated USC today 129 to 113 with the completion of three meter diving. The Wildcats dropped to No. 11 UCLA today with a score of 159 to 140. Arizona had the lead for most of the day, until UCLA then pulled in front, winning the last four events of the meet.

    In the three meter diving competition against USC, junior Lindsay Berryman placed third with 252.25 points, senior Adrian David placed fourth with 242.25 points, while junior Hazel Johnson placed fifth with 209.10 points. The Wildcats 200 medley relay team captured first place with a time of 1:43.00, the team was made up of sophomore Annie Joseph, juniors Jessamyn Miller and Maria Papadopoulou and freshman Kim Robertson. Individually for the Wildcats junior Sarah Tolar placed first in three events today. She captured the 200 free with the time of 1:48.49, an NCAA consideration time. Tolar also won the 500 (4:58.97) and the 1000 free (10:03.18). Sophomore Beth Botsford took first place in both the 100 and 200 back. Botsford swam well under the NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 200 back today as she won in a time of 1:57.84. Botsford won the 100 back with the time of 54.94.

    For the Arizona diving team against the Bruins, David came in second place in the one meter event with 249.75 points. Berryman came in fifth place on the one meter, scoring 208 points. On the three meter Berryman placed second with 252.25 points and David placed third with 242.25 points.

    The Arizona diving team will travel to Los Angeles for the Trojan Invitational Nov. 17-19. The swimming and diving team will then compete in the Texas Invitational Dec. 1-3.
