Men's Tennis Tournament Suspended Due To Rain

TEMPE, Ariz. - Junior Steven Capriati and freshman Whi Kim made it to the second round of the 32-player draw at the Thunderbirds Invitational Friday, before rain caused the tournament to be postponed until tomorrow.

Kim flew by Cal Poly's Michael Marques, 6-4, 6-1, while Capriati defeated Mako Gojanovic of Clemson, 6-0, 2-6, 7-6(5).

Junior Jonathon Brozyna fell to Arizona State's Matt Klinger, 6-2, 6-4, and Mississippi State's Romain Ambert defeated sophomore Tom Lloyd, 6-0, 6-1. Brozyna and Lloyd will compete in the consolation round when the tournament resumes.

Junior Bruno Aropovic and freshman Carl Hagman did not get to compete due to rain.

The Wildcats will continue play tomorrow, Oct. 28, at 8:30 a.m.
