Wildcat Men's Golfers Remain No. 11 in Latest Poll

Tucson, Ariz. -- For the second consecutive week, the University of Arizona men's golf team is ranked 11th in the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings. The Cats, who have won one tournament this Spring and have been the runner-up in two others, are the second-highest ranked Pac-10 team, trailing only sixth-ranked Arizona State.

Individually, senior Derek Gillespie is the highest ranked UA golfer at No. 28.

Freshman Ricky Barnes, who has won two of the team's four tournaments during the Spring season, is the third highest ranked freshman in the country and is No. 31.The only other Arizona golfer to be ranked is freshman Patrick Norris, who is No. 96.

The team will be in action again next week when it travels to Los Cabos, Mexico, on April 7-9, for the U.S. Collegiate Golf Championships.
