HOUSTON – The 51st-ranked University of Arizona Men's tennis team (5-2 overall, 0-1 Pacific-10) won four of six singles matches to earn a 4-3, victory over North Carolina State Saturday.

In doubles play, at the No. 2 spot, the duo of freshman Whi Kim and sophomore Tom Lloyd earned a win over Brad Kilgore and John Davis, 9-8(7). The Wolfpack won at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots to earn a match point.

In singles play, Lloyd flew by Matt Lucas, 6-1, 6-1, at the No. 2 spot, while at the No. 3 position Carl Hagman beat Michael Carducci, 6-0, 6-4. Senior Jari Niskala clinched the match for the Wildcats at the 5th-position, defeating Bryce McGrory, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

The Cats next see action on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 12:00 p.m. against Pac-10 rival Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.
