CORVALLIS, Ore. - For the second time in a week, the Oregon State softball team was rained out at home. OSU's game with No. 2 Arizona was called after a two and half hour delay on Friday, April 28.

The No. 12 Beavers (33-13-1) retired the first three Wildcat batters in the top of the first inning, but the rain and hail began falling when OSU's Shawna Feldt came to the plate to lead off the bottom of the first. The teams planned to delay the game until 3:30 p.m., but the field was still unplayable at that time. After another hour delay, the game was officially called off.

Per Pacific-10 Conference policy, the game will not be made up unless it has a bearing on the identification of the Pacific-10 Champion/NCAA automatic qualifier. As of Friday, Arizona was in third place in the league standings, while the Beavers were in seventh place.
