WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (Mar. 9, 2001) -- The Pac-10 Conference announced on Friday, March 9, that due to an error in scoring the UCLA Bruins earned the women’s swimming and diving Conference championship.

The original tabulation at the championships gave Arizona the Pac-10 title by a 1,229.50 - 1,130.00 margin over UCLA. The original results failed to include the correct amount of points in the diving competition.

After diving was concluded and the points were tabulated the top eight finishers were awarded points. However, points awarded to those competitors placing ninth through 24th in the preliminaries were absent and should have been included in the original calculation of points.
