TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona women's golf team maintained its spot at No. 1 for the seventh consecutive week in the latest MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings released today. The Wildcats will be going for a school record of five tournament wins in a row this week at the Ping/ASU Invitational. The Cats last won four consecutive titles in 1990-91 and again in 1991-92.
Individually, three Arizona golfers are ranked in the top-10. Senior Jenna Daniels continues to be in the No. 1 spot, sophomore Cristina Baena moves up to No. 8 and senior Jill Gomric is No. 9. Junior Christina Monteiro is No. 34 and freshman Julia Kraschinski is No. 57.

The Wildcats will be in action this weekend at the Ping/ASU Invitational. The tournament is being held at the Karsten Golf Course (par-72, 6,090 yards) on the campus of Arizona State. On Friday and Saturday there will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. MST. The final day of play, Sunday, will have a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. MST.
